Grammar Notes:

example of possessives
parmak - finger
eklem - joint
parmagimin eklemi - my finger joint
parmaginin eklemi - your finger joint (the first “n” is the 2nd person possessive “n”)
parmaginin eklemi - his/her finger joint (the first “n” is the buffer “n”)

cilt - skin
doktor - doctor
cilt doktoru - skin doctor
cilt doktorum - my skin doctor
cilt doktoruyum - I am a skin doctor

examples of passive use
yakmak - to burn
yanmak - to be burned
kolumu yaktim. I burned my arm (the active voice is used here)
kolum yandi. my arm was burned (the passive voice can also be used)
bacagimi kirdim. I broke my leg
bacagim kirildi. my leg broke (the passive voice implies less responsibility)

interesting words

göbek - can mean “navel” or “belly”
göbeklenmek - means “to get a belly”
e.g. göbekleniyorum - I’m getting fat
